Try changing the choice for:
"When I press the sleep button on my computer"

Indeed, but I can't find it, nor could I find anything in the Compaq 
"help" info nor online at hp nor via google, so I'm not exactly sure how 
that works [brute force registry edit perhaps?].  I did find an app 
that'll allow me to change the 'shortcut buttons' [email, search, info, 
help] but that app didn't include "standby" among its options.
