That's no fun! I get a real kick out of taking stuff apart. It's my Mom's
fault! I was 4 y.o, & under her feet at home, so she gave me some tools & an
old alarm clock & said: "dismantle". So I did, & it hasn't been limited to
clocks!

Or don't bother with the 2½" to 3½" IDE adapter but rather boot a BartPE
or XpPe CD then ghost the laptop's HD across a LAN then after you replace
the HD then boot the cd again & restore the ghost image. Sure beats
taking computers apart any more than one has to.
