I suggested you change the computer name on the laptop just to see if it altered the problem. After you change the name, shut down (do not hibernate, do not standby) all 3 computers so that no computer is left on, then start them up. Then see if you can access the laptop (by its new name) from MOM or DADS. I just noticed something I didn't see before, but you have the computer called "laptop" and it has a share name called "laptop". So that reinforces the suggestion of changing the computer name of "laptop" to something else. Nope!! That command doesn't work. Get "system error 53 has occurred. The network path was not found". The command without the * and /D works, but it doesn't seem to allow me to do anything. BTW, how would one access the laptop recources...........if the command had worked? Do you mean access it via My Network Places? No way, Jose. BTW, I don't know about that D Share. I didn't do anything to cause that......at least not intentionally. > I'm not sure why you're getting access denied while using the name. Thanks for your help.
