XP Pro vs Home has *nothing* to do with QoS. XP Pro vs Home does apply to your active directory thoughts though.

Besides QoS is generally considered to be a *good* thing !

1) By the "committee" that approved the QoS RFC?

2) The "for what" has been described in several posts on this thread.
