PL] I remember doing this with Nero. They used to be something about the DLL
file that Nero required to correctly recognise a CD writer. I still have
that file; I copied the file to the c:\winnt\system32 folder. I then went
ahead and ran the aspi_you utility from
http://www.nu2.nu/download.php?sFile=aspiyou15.zip

It finds my hard disk and usb drive but not the cd-writer.

P.S. When I run the aspi_you utility, I get the following
