Just a thought.

I cannot remember how this started but.....

I have had a similar situation with XP when I re-arranged my Hdd's in the server
and shifted the CD-RW suddenly 2 drives disappeared and no CD-RW

I found that althogh the first boot drive was set as MASTER the other 2 were too
and the CD-RW. Maxtor drives do not have a jumper when used as slave (I knew
that! Cough Cough) but I thought Slaves had the jumper so I put jumpers on.

Check the drive settings and remove all Hdd's except the boot drive and put the
CD on the second cable and see what happens.

You should get your boot drive and the CD if not it's the CD unless it's Kaput!

Sir Hugh of Bognor

The difference between men and boys is the price of their toys.

Intelligence is not knowing the answer but knowing where and how to find it!
