Hi Carl,
I note the comment about work-related stuff - I hope I wasn't too
out-of-bounds! As for professional opinions, what could be better than this
list?
So, if I connect the FP reader LAN cable to a wireless router, I should be
able to see it with a wireless PC? Maybe I'll drag my personal kit to work
tomorrow, just to see.
& thanks for the suggestion.
Regards,

If the FP reader is not a PC to which you can add a standard wi-fi card
then
you'll need to connect the ethernet cable from it to a wireless access
point
or router.
Then install a wi-fi card in the PC that does the downloading, make them
talk, you're done.
Carl
p.s. As this is win-HOME there are other lists for
professional/work-related
questions ... if you care to have a better selection of professional
opinions.
