In a way it's unfair to blame HP (or the other OEMs that have the same practice) for the "one shot is all you get" policy regarding the Restore Disk Creator. MS deserves the finger, er... I mean pointed finger, er... wait I'll get the saying right... <VBG>

MS has certain regulations as to how the OS may be distributed and OEMs have to follow "da rules". And since the restore disks contain the OS, as well as OEM drivers and such, "da rules" apply to those restore disks. Of course the OEM could have included the CD in the first place. So it's a combination of MS rules and OEM cost cutting that we are seeing in many cases.

As for "modern" (aka wal-mart) business practices, I'm with you. :)
