Over here you really had to be "in" with American silly
slapstick humour to get the jokes - that is why SOAP was such
a hit over here. Whatever happened to Richard? Guillemot?

Robert Guillaume

only normal person on Soap, and didn't take no guff from the
dummy Bob, throwing his head out the Window in one episode. :)
He was Isaac Jaffe on Sports Night (1998-2000) on his last TV
series. He is also the voice of Rafiki in the movie The Lion
King and its sequels and spin-offs.
I've seen the big guy and the 2wife2 in several sitcoms and
movies but hardly anything of the Butler after his own show
spin off. (similar to the attitude shown by the butler in the
"Fresh Prince of Bel Air".
On Soap a long running gag was whenever the door bell rang,
Benson would look up, as everyone stared expectantly at him,
and would say "You want me to get that...?" :D
