You may want to check to see if your memory is firmly seated in the bus sockets.
Check the battery if to see if it was installed label side up, if not then that 
could be your problem.

Removed the battery and replaced the new one in a manner of seconds. Don'=

computer went through the extended RAM test and then nothing. No beeps. =

Just stopped. No hard drives or DVD_ROM drive came up. Turned off and 
restarted. Hit F2 to enter setup and after RAM test computer stuck on 
entering setup. Turned off and replaced old battery. No differnece. 6 yea=

old PII 400. 383MB RAM. Dual boot 98/ Xp. Using public PC at the moment s=
o 
my reponse time might be in excess of 24hrs. TIA.
