Just so you know you are not alone in this, take a look at this picture, this is the dsl in my office, note all the splitters ;-) http://www.pdscc.com/troubleshooting/adsl-splitters.jpg The first splitter has one side going to the dsl modem and the other to a filter. The stuff behind the filter are a 2 line corded phone, a modem and something else plugged into it. The 2 line cordless phone downstairs also goes through a filter. At my old place I had a pots splitter wired into the building wiring closet due to an enterphone to get into the building. -- Harondel J.
