There is a company over here selling used/not required copies of XP, 2K, NT etc
with the blessing of M$.

If the company that had the software (usually "corp" for want of a better word)
relinquishes the licence MS will allow the sale to a third person. Usually this
goes with NT being upgraded to XP or something.

Apparently there is a loophole in the EULA or the initial install agreement that
allows "part exchange" or in better terms the "software" is an asset to a
company and if that company (person) goes into receivership or bankruptcy then
the software is part of the assets and can be sold off legally as long as the
new USER agrees to the EULA and pays the licence fee which is apparently the
cost of the software bought from M$ - the licence is not time limited and as a
licence can be passed on. The fee has already been paid.........

Check out the law in the US and I think it will match something like I say.
