I agree that simple file sharing needs to be turned on in Pro, because that is the type of network Home is designed for, but disagree with the rest. XP does not care about the workgroup name (with simple file-sharing) and a username and password are not needed (all access to shares is through the Guest account). I've been to enough LAN parties with a mix of both Home and Pro to know those two things as fact.

Since Steve stated that the shares are all visible, but simply not accessible, it sounds like a rights problem to me. You can try deleting all of the shares on the Pro machine and recreating them (with different share names if it doesn't work the first time), making sure to check "Allow network users to change my files", if you wish to have write access. That may straighten out the permissions if they have gotten screwed up.

If that doesn't work (and I've had that happen, too) you may need to change some permissions. Right-click one of the shared folders on the Pro machine and go to the Security tab. You may have to create the Everyone group and set permissions as applicable.
