Are you using all Pro machines? Logging into the other machine isn't
something that Home likes to do. The OP had a mixture of Home and
Pro machines on his LAN, which is why I was saying go the simple
route. For the average user, simple is a far easier method of using
shares on the LAN. YMMV of course.
I don't have Pro and have only used it in passing on friend's
machines -- usually at LAN parties -- so I've never actually logged
into another machine in the manner you describe. Hell, Home won't
even let you use Remote Desktop to log into another user's machine to
help them out, which is why I use UltraVNC for those whom I help frequently.
