Jim,

1) Are the motherboards of the 2 systems identical
2) Is the original disk still ok
3) Can you go back to using the old disk
4) Can you add in this new drive alongside the original - a
5) Do you have any partition management software
6) Do you have, or can you create)  the restore disks for this new system
