By this I assume I am to give them the model of the PC the Hard Drive I am
wanting to use came out of?? Not the PC I am placing the HD into.

I saw several replies but do not remember seeing a caution that Microsoft
may not allow activation since many hardware changes have been detected. You
may be directed to call Microsoft. I have found them to be far more lenient
than originally anticptated.
Here are the main questions and your generic answer:
Is this the first time Windows is being activated (or installed) on this
computer?
No, this is a reinstall.
What is the Make and Model number of the computer? (When backlogged they may
skip this question to get more work done in less time)
Give the make and model of the original computer the COA sticker came
installed on. I do this on rebuilds regularly and get by.
On how many computers is this copy of Windows installed?
One
Note that all of my installs are clean installs after a format job. Your
mileage with Microsoft may vary.
