Then again, Mandrake distributes lots of commercial software with its
packages (eg - Partition Magic, Loki games, etc)

It may be the case that NeTraverse doesn't want to divulge much info
to them either if this is the case.  It's also the case that
non-standard patches to the kernel can have very negative effects on
people's perceptions, especially those who don't understand what
kernels are.  Elsewhere I've heard people say they won't use Win4Lin
because of its "non-standard" kernel?  These people are, as they're
saying that, using a Mandrake kernel with non-standard reiserfs
support in it but somehow that's ok.  It's a perception problem

I believe that's what they've been doing with their v2 Beta program.

Not sure how productive some of this is becoming but it's nice to
finally be talking with some of you Win4Lin users.  This list hasn't
had much traffic.  Maybe we can keep the traffic level up and move it
to discussions of the product itself.
