Guys,
Thanks for the excellent explanations of CD drive behavior. I did a full
Office 2000 install on a ThinkPad A21p and after 20-25 minute at the end of
the day, I had to leave to pick up my son from day care. So I closed the
lid, put it in my laptop bag and put that in my frozen trunk.
When I got home 35 minutes later, Office 2000 was installed! Although the
TP was really hot when I took it out of the bag (a little thing called no
air circulation, dummy). Anyway, as a newbie, I love Linux, I like Win4Lin
(I've got some serious problems not being able to save Office files on a
Samba server) and Microsoft is OK.
