Well, sinds a lot of Linux users are familiar with alpha testing (I use Wine,
xcdroast, and some pre-kernels for instance), I could think of a 'for testing
only patch'. This development release of the early 2.4 patch could be
available via this list (in order to avoid others -whom you have to deliver a
*perfect* product- using it and complaining afterwards about things not
working properly).
In that case it would be easy to (try to) compile a 'bzdisk', and boot with
that one when one likes to give it a try.
This is very common in the Open Source world, where some people who like to
test alpha/beta software can test and report bugs and ideas, which makes
things easier to develop (as I asume). So maybe it should just be a bit more
'open source' to them who likes to test and help with it that way.
