That problem is due to deleteing a read-only file that you do not own.
Windows does not normally allow you to delete a read-only file. When you
try it warns you about it and if you say that you really want to, it
makes the file writeable so that it can delete it. The problem is
that if you do not own the file on the Linux filesystem, the Linux
filesystem disallows the mode change. In this situation Windows
malfunctions because it has no concept of a file that refuses to be
made writeable, and goes along as if it was made writeable and that
the delete worked. But another part of Windows sees that the delete
actually failed and pops up the "Cannot delete DD4" error message.
To fix this up you have to use Linux and go into the RECYCLED directory
and delete all the files.
It is on the list of things to work on in Win4Lin to detect this situation
and work it so that read-only files can be deleted when they are in
the RECYCLED directories. (Linux allows deleting read-only files.)
But that has not been done for the up-coming 3.0.0 release. Hopefully
soon thereafter.
