Xserver's resolution and desktop size are independent. I asume you want
srink you desktop size on the second server. Since the desktop size for
the Xserver cannot change durring the life of the Xserver you would have to
specify it when you start the Xserver, via a config file. Make a copy of
you XF86Config and alter you resolutions, by default the Xserver will take
the highest resolution as the desktop size.
If you are using XF4 then you config file might be here:
/etc/X11/XF86Config-4
and you might want to make a copy here:
/etc/X11/XF86Config-4.win4lin
change a modes line near the bottom to look more like this:
DefaultDepth 16
SubSection "Display"
Depth 16
Modes "800x600" "640x480"
EndSubSection
and start X by running:
# X :1 -query localhost -xf86config /etc/X11/XF86Config-4.win4lin
>/dev/null 2>&1 &
I have not done this myself, but it is worth a shot.
cheers!
