more data for you: i was rebooted in vnet mode, went to the
network neighborhood on my samba server (same one running
win4lin).  drilled down into a folder with some files.  double
clicked on one, and the microsoft picture viewer launched, and
a progress bar appeared at the bottom (moving very slowly).  it
also said "downloading foo".  when i went back to the X desktop,
my KDE System Guard showed the CPU railed.  i clicked to the
processes tab, and saw dosexec using 80% of the CPU.
