Hi all,
I for one am not seeing anything like this. Quite the contrary, Windows
seems quite fast. I used to run Win ME on this box, and generally speaking
it isn't seeming much slower to run Win98SE under Win4Lin. Start button is
less than 1 second to the menu. VPN connection is about 2 seconds until I
type in my password, and only a couple more seconds to connect. I don't have
any apps other than PC Anywhere loaded yet, but so far everything is just
fine.
RH 7.1
Stock Win4Lin-2.4.2-2Win4Lin kernel
256MB RAM in the system, don't know how t check what Win4Lin is really
using. The Personal Configuration says it's using 24MB which is apparently
the minimum allowed...
VNET networking

Windows- win98
Kernel- 2.4.3 (Mandrake 8.0)
Vnet
320MB System ram with 64MB in win4lin
The entire windows session stalls here. Although windows system menus tend
to be affected more often/easily.
The best I can recall these stalls happened when the internet was being
accessed. A few times I had to close win4lin to end my windows session and
discovered via kde konqueror that the sight was not found on server.
