I have seen similar problems with Acrobat 5 posted on this list, and not 
being an expert I would like to tender a tentative explanation.  My 
understanding of AR5 is that it uses a few parts of the DirextX API (I 
could be mistaken though).  If this is in fact correct, then Win9x 
running in win4lin wont run it due to the nature of the virtual sound, 
video, and NIC card used (lack of DirectX is listed as a W4L 
limitation).  AR5 might just be trying to make direct calls to the video 
driver, or calls to an unsupported function in the kernel32.dll.  

Dont be discouraged though.  I have been running Acrobat 4.05 quite 
sucessfully with 0 problems in win98se with win4lin.
