The following is an extract from an email from the developer .
I have edited out the download link to protect his copyright.
As I am in the last throes of PhD submission I have not had the opportunity
to play with this.
These are the people who provide the Vturbo add on.
Hopefully this will give you enough contact information.

Subject: Free update: vMouse 1.0.1

Dear Customer,

Please find below a link to download the latest version of vMouse for NVDA.
This version (1.0.1) includes a bug fix and enhancements as noted below.

What's new in version 1.0.1?

1. Version 1.0 contained a bug which prevented a hotspot from being created
within a narrow area down the right edge of a window. This prevented,
amongst other things, creating a hotspot over the close button of an
application. This has now been fixed.

2. vMouse now remembers the mouse position for each application window and
will move the pointer to that position if focus is switched to another
window and back again.

3. vMouse now preserves the mouse restriction setting invoked by F5 to
F8 in Pointer Control Keys mode when switching between applications.
This means that if you have restricted the mouse pointer in order to read a
small status window, for example, and then switch to a different application
where you move the mouse to a different screen location, vMouse will return
the mouse back to the status window and reinstate the desired restriction
when you return to that application.

4. It has been noticed that there is a conflict between vMouse and the free
add-on System Tray List which displays a dialogue showing some of the items
in the Windows system tray. vMouse does not prevent this dialogue from
being displayed but when you tab to a mouse action button (such as
right-click) for a given menu item and press Enter, the proper function is
not activated. There is nothing obvious in vMouse's code which would cause
the Enter key not to behave normally in these circumstances and the conflict
problem might well exist due to something contained in the code for the
add-on. For this reason, vMouse has not been amended to take account of
this conflict but attention is drawn to the following which should offer an
acceptable solution:

(1) The mouse action buttons relative to each item listed in the System
Tray List dialogue of the add-on are still usable by pressing their
associated shortcuts: alt plus l for left click, alt plus d for double click
and alt plus r for right click. You will find that this method involves
fewer key presses than tabbing to the desired button and pressing Enter.

(2) As the developers of the System Tray List point out themselves, their
add-on is intended primarily for users of other screen-readers, such as
Jaws, who are used to displaying the system tray using insert plus F11.
They go on to mention that the standard keyboard method of accessing the
Windows system tray is by pressing the Windows key with B. There are good
reasons for preferring Windows key B as opposed to the NVDA plus F11 hotkey
used by the System Tray List add-on since (a) you can access more system
tray items that way, (b) you can take advantage of the system tray
customisation features in Windows and (c) there is full keyboard access to
the items in the standard system tray by pressing space to select, Enter to
double click (which activates the default menu item) and the applications
key to simulate a right-click which will bring up the item's shortcut menu.

5. The vMouse user guide available from vMouse's Help submenu has been
updated to reflect the enhancements and to offer advice on what to do when
confronted with the Windows program compatibility wizard during the
installation process.

To install the updated version of vMouse, download and extract the
vMouseNVDA.zip file using the link below, close vMouse if it is already
running, and then run the vmnsetup.exe file found in the extracted folder.
This will replace your current version of vMouse and you will not need to
uninstall vMouse first before running the new setup file.
Please note that any permanent application hotspots you have saved along
with vTurbo will not be affected by this update.

Please do not hesitate to contact me to report any other bugs or to let me
have your comments and suggestions.

Hello David

I googled it but came up against a lot of other things but not that. Do you
happen to have a web URL for this application?

There is a very cheap add on for NVDA called Vmouse. I am not sure if that
will help. It costs £2.99 I think.
It might be worth looking at.
It is the from the same people who do the Vturbo enhancement for NVDA which
also adds functionality. I believe this is also about £2.99.
The useful thing about Vturbo is that you can set up application specific
settings. So if you have a self voicing application like Kurzweil for
example it can save an NVDA setting to automatically turn speech off whilst
Kurzweil is running.
