hello!

it seems like discussion about packaging reached the end, but the
whitepaper mentioned by ove is nowhere (or is good hidden at least). i
think we need that rules about packaging. that's why i reviewed all the
messages about this subject and tried to make the summary what most
people want (from my point of view, of course. you can have a notes).

* non-interactive installation
* do not support multiuser configuration YET
* create complete Wine configuration as the part of postinstall process
(set "wine with windows" if windows installation is present, "wine
without windows" in other case + create according fake windows directory
tree + registry entries). the configuration file should be global.
* do not change /etc/ld.so.conf file
* register *.exe extension in common desktop enviroments (KDE, GNOME)
* do not register *.exe in kernel (or wherever), becouse of executable
flag needed
* do not include application launcher YET (just becouse we don't have
one, but we will)
* package should contain:
    regapi tool
    uninstaller
    winhelp
    wcmd
    winemine
    winecfg (de facto, this is what i want. i'm not sure is somebody
else want it also :-)

correct? or?
