[Winona Online Democracy] I'm assuming that consideration has been given to continuing 44th Ave. north across 6th St.with new road/overpass to Theurer Blvd. Just from drive-by observation, it appears that less private property would be required than the Pelzer route and that there is room to cross the parking lots between DCM and Benchmark. Obviously there are other issues: distance from Winona, outside Winona city limits, etc. but this would eliminate issue of closure of Pelzer Street and resulting detours. Just a thought.
