What do I mean by full and public – simple: What rule did he break? When did he break it? Since he hasn’t posted for a month, why did it take so long to give him the boot? Why wasn’t it made public?  And while you’re at it, tell us a bit about the discussion “last Tuesday” Roy Nasstrom refers to, why he thought the “issue had been laid to rest,” and what, again, the issue was in the first place. From my records, Steve’s last posting to the list was May 12 – referring members to research he conducted and the paper he had written analyzing participation in Winona Online Democracy. The only prima facie explanation for Schild’s suspension is that the list moderator/steering committee took umbrage at the results of Shild’s research and have determined to put an end to the propagation of such heresy. If true, this would be an utter violation of the spirit and intent of this list.
