One other thing that you all should know is that 
I've made certain that Dr. Schild is aware that he may access the archives for 
all of the public discussion in order to obtain data for further research.  
I have also directed him to follow the procedure of contacting Craig Brooks, 
technical manager for the list, via email in order to forward any request 
for members to participate in any off list activities that might generate data 
for his research.  I do not want his suspension to interfere with his 
ability to pursue his scholarly interests.


 


Thanks to those of you who have supported me on 
this.  I also welcome and encourage anyone who disagrees with the process 
that has been used for such decisions to be a part of improving it!  I 
won't be offended at all.  It is in all of our interests for WOD to be open 
to criticism and to engage in respectful conversation regarding how we can 
improve the entity that is WOD.  That is precisely why I have felt that Dr. 
Schild's research is important to WOD and have tried so very hard to continue to 
include him as a list member in spite of questioning his conduct on the 
list.

  where may all of us find all of the rules and regulations for

It has just come to my 
      attention that Steve Schild has been suspended 
      from Winona Online Democracy by moderator Kathy Seifert. 
      

      
From my records, Steve�s last 
      posting to the list was May 12 � referring members to research he 
      conducted and the paper he had written analyzing participation in Winona 
      Online Democracy.

      
The only prima facie 
      explanation for Schild�s suspension is that the 
      list moderator/steering committee took umbrage at the results of Shild�s research and have determined to put an end to 
      the propagation of such heresy. 

      
If true, this would be an 
      utter violation of the spirit and intent of this list. 
      

      
I expect a full and public
