[Winona Online Democracy]

I haven't heard of any organizing of new development, but I did hear of an incident which may be true, or it may be a Winona urban legend. A woman complained to the box office that she drove all the way up from Des Moines in order to attend, but was angry that when she got here, there was no "nice place" to eat besides sandwich shops and a Mexican restaurant. I guess she didn't notice the Chinese restaurants downtown. I believe that if the festival is to be viable, we must get a high-end fine dining type restaurant in our downtown that isn't a chain.

I saw Midsummer Night's Dream last weekend and I just loved it! What a fine cast and over-all production. My hat is off to the group who put this together!

The Suds and More laundry mat in Goodview will take in laundry. I think Leaf's downtown also does it.
