Kelly, Thank you for both responding and also for being so very thoughtful and thorough.  I really really do appreciate it.  I've appreciated your integrity and wisdom as I've gotten to know you over the past three years, and my esteem for you, while already high, has risen even more so due to your openness and candor.  If only there were more like you.   I realize the school board takes the "rap" for many issues for which they should not be held accountable.  But such is the system isn't it?  Your response may help a dialogue develop where there was previously ONLY criticism.  And this will never happen when silence prevails.  Because silence only begets skepticism, mistrust, and then cynicism.      Thank you again.   Virginia Laken
