Another point which can be taken into account by the use of the Central
Building for the ALC is the inability (or at least it would be tougher)
for the school to charter, because it wouldn't be "closed" per se.
Central had threatened to Charter and may have had that strong potential
if the building was left to them after closing. However, with the
building in use by the ALC, the charter becomes a weaker case in the
space department.
No one argues that Central isn't a good school or that they don't have a
dedicated staff, it just comes down to sheer volume of buildings within
a 3 mile radius. Using AND updating Central to house the ALC, would seem
like a very good use of tax payer money.  
With Maxwell Children's going into Madison, Key Kids would seem to have
an almost perfect fit in Madison as well. I hope the board considers
these opinions.
