--Tom, a better question might be : what good will come from a private
evaluation?

Will it be a legitamite evaluation when the process itself is flawed? The
direct reports are to do the evaluation of Mr. Durand. The school board
chairman said his preference would be for them to voluntarily sign their
evaluation forms, but it was not a requirement. After the evaluation forms are
completed they are to be turned in to Durand's secretary, who will then check
them off the list. Does that sound like the way we want this process to be done?

A flawed process will produce flawed results.

I watched the board meeting this week and was very upset when Natalie Siderius
read her statement regarding the teachers showing up at the public comment
session and presenting statements to the board. Why does this board want to
restrict the input of the teachers? Why has the superintendent told teachers
that they cannot contact board members? Why was the high school staff told they
could not discuss certain issues and certain people?
