Hi Leif, Tak for the interesting ideas. I got 1,8 MHz BPF ahead of DR2A in order to prevent local problems. I am also listening to my FT-1000MP for comparation.
This AM TX is made in USA sloid state with 300 modules of 1 kW each combining into short feedline. Distortions are occassionally very bad and I suspect bad modules there. I am aware that notching carrier wouldn't help much. I tried coherent AM detection already but I was not aware of inteligent I/Q split. I got 1994 AD7008 DDS protoboard which doesn't work on WinXP LPT. XO is used so far for 1843,2 kHz standard freq. I like 1833 kHz aliasing trick! I am 62, on computers since 1970 with dozen assemblers including dirty DSP TI ones. So I skip playing with yet another OS Linux and curse Bill Gates instead. I'll try your Linrad asap as I was not aware I can run it under WinXP on my desktop. This IBM T30 wireless notebook is my preffered bed PC. Retired on Nov. 23rd so more time for hamradio now. I guess I might even try EME one of these days :-) 73 de Mario, S56A, N1YU __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Tired of spam? Yahoo!
