Hi Leo,
We have installed a couple of H-REAP enabled AP's at a number of small satellite locations in our region (even in my test lab at home). Most of them are on cable/dsl. Although there is no limitation on the number of AP's, Cisco mentioned to us that it is important that the AP stay under a 100ms turn around time to the controller. I suppose LWAPP cannot handle much latency... Have you ever utilized H-Reap mode to deploy APs, like at remote colleges? so we would still have one centralized authentication and management. while meanwhile, the local wireless traffic won't have to travel back to central campus WiSM to goes back. Prior WiSM 4.1 the H-Reap limits up to 8 APs per location, now the new code explicitly says "no limitation". -- Leo Song, Networking Services, CCS University of Guelph. ph: (519) 824-4120 x 53181 Not Easily Broken..TDJ ********** Participation and subscription information for this EDUCAUSE Constituent Group discussion list can be found at http://www.educause.edu/groups/. ********** Participation and subscription information for this EDUCAUSE Constituent Group discussion list can be found at http://www.educause.edu/groups/.
