What if they are sick in their dorm room and trying to schedule a clinic appointment from their laptop?

Seeing that each class likely has an up to date roster, would it not be possible to create a system that would disable access for all students in that class? Of course it would mean having an authenticated wireless access system.

My personal opinion is that it is not a good or even reasonable strategy to
attempt to control WiFi in the classroom. For one thing, it's unlikely
that an AP serves only a single classroom and no adjacent areas. Secondly,
we can't control the cellular signal, so really there's not much benefit
from a cheating standpoint.

Are any other schools up against anything of this magnitude? Has anyone come
up with a mechanism to let faculty have some control over wireless in
classrooms?
