Bill. I too purchased a wap11 with the idea of connecting it up to the 2Wire (Lucent) AP downstairs. I got the unit home, and began pulling my hair out. I updated the firmware, i am now using an SMC firmware 1.4i-4, i got the amtel smnp config tool, i read through nntp threads and searched the web. In the end it turned out that while the wap11 does support AP Client Mode, it only does so with other wap11's.
