yea....I too can only get IDSL....and it's 120 bucks a month for me for 144k/144k
But hope is in the air. I read on Slashdot that there's an experiment going on in Campbell where this startup is making a modification to 802.11x (x being whatever) to extend the range to upto 20 miles. So far, they are doing trials to link their headquarters in Campbell with a station in Oakland. Once it becomes available, I'm gonna get it so I can link myself with a friend of mine in fremont who's got T1. G.
