Good analogy in your post on GPL projects. It does take some extra effort and 
commitment (almost have to wear blinders) to carry the ball all the way to 
the end of the field. 

And I couldn't resist this somewhat off-topic analogy...

Lets see... doing the math, these late 60's hippies would be in their mid 
50's? Gee... all those Enron executives are about that age?
