never mind reverting my request for help reverting my wap11 2.2... I think I fixed my problem. I found firmware version 2.5 for the dlink DWL900AP+ and it is hooked up. essentially now the wap11 2.2 can support:
22 megs (44 to come supposedly) EAP/ radius/ 802.1x 256 bit wep transmit power adjustment advanced logging REPEATER MODE!! client AP mode built in DHCP SERVER AND: you can use a wap11 1.0, 1.1, or 2.2 as a client!! so far it is stable, but it's only been about 45 minutes... that's not saying much, but considering the weekend I've had, it counts. ----- Original Message ----- From: "jon from nova wireless" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: "jon from nova wireless" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>; <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Sent: Saturday, January 11, 2003 8:25 PM Subject: Re: [BAWUG] wap11 2.2 to dlink DWL900ap+ > does ANYONE know how to revert a wap11 2.2 back from dlink firmware??? > thanks. > > ----- Original Message ----- > From: "jon from nova wireless" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> > To: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> > Sent: Saturday, January 11, 2003 4:30 PM > Subject: [BAWUG] wap11 2.2 to dlink DWL900ap+ > > > > Although I don't think I have seen it hashed through on this board, I'm > > assuming you have all seen the stuff on personaltelco about using dlink > > firmware on a wap11 2.2? > > it gives you a few benefits: > > 22 Mbps (I know, that's on the wap11, but I never got it to work there) > > a built in DHCP server, > > advanced logging, > > repeater mode!! > > and a few other benefits... > > one they don't mention is: > > so far I have had serious stability issues. > > namely, lots of packet loss, and some disassociation problems I can't > lick. > > anyone else had this? > > > > has anyone else figured out how to flash back to the wap11 firmware w/o > > getting the checksum error? > > > > -- > > general wireless list, a bawug thing <http://www.bawug.org/> > > [un]subscribe: http://lists.bawug.org/mailman/listinfo/wireless > > -- > general wireless list, a bawug thing <http://www.bawug.org/> > [un]subscribe: http://lists.bawug.org/mailman/listinfo/wireless -- general wireless list, a bawug thing <http://www.bawug.org/> [un]subscribe: http://lists.bawug.org/mailman/listinfo/wireless
