I understand the procedure you described, it would not
be too difficult to follow. However I would have
preferred ;-) to know in advance if reverting to
linksys firmware was going to help at all! All Linksys
firmwares seem problematic.
The wap11 I have came with firmware v.1.009 -it always
gives me creeps to change them (where I live, I can't
go down the street and buy one, in case). So just
before installing the d-link firmware, i backed up
what ever i could, here is the list:

24-11-02  11:04                    772 config.img
24-11-02  11:02                983,040 normal.bin
24-11-02  11:04                     24 mac.dat
24-11-02  11:04              1,048,576 rom.img

so I guess I have the rom.img -thank you nevertheless.
I will wait for some more inputs.
