I am impressed with your kindness -thank you. I understand the procedure you described, it would not be too difficult to follow. However I would have preferred ;-) to know in advance if reverting to linksys firmware was going to help at all! All Linksys firmwares seem problematic. The wap11 I have came with firmware v.1.009 -it always gives me creeps to change them (where I live, I can't go down the street and buy one, in case). So just before installing the d-link firmware, i backed up what ever i could, here is the list:
24-11-02 11:04 772 config.img 24-11-02 11:02 983,040 normal.bin 24-11-02 11:04 24 mac.dat 24-11-02 11:04 1,048,576 rom.img so I guess I have the rom.img -thank you nevertheless. I will wait for some more inputs.
