It is the U.FL/MHF to RP-TNC Male.
Very interesting. They've also got Atheros G and G+A mini PCI cards coming soon. The combination of these with the U.FL/MHF to RP-TNC Male pigtail looks do-able in a laptop. It ought to be possible to find a bit of the laptop case with room for a small hole to take the pigtail out to the outside. And some duck tape to stop the RP-TNC flapping around!
I'm still uncertain about the effects of diversity. The cards seem to have a main and aux antenna socket and support receive diversity. I'm wondering if it would be possible to hook one to the laptop internal antenna and the other to the pigtail and socket. The aim being to use the internal antenna for general use but to be able to add an external antenna for DX and wardriving. Is this the same sort of approach as is being done in Orinoco cards with the built in antenna and the MC socket?
