When you say "protected", do you mean replacing @ with AT?

already archived by mail-archive.org and the emails are protected there.

People often find what they're looking for by searching 
Google and getting BAWUG posts as their answers (OK, at least 
I do). I think the moral here is not to use very private 
email addresses on very public mailing lists. ;)
