- Alternate polarization for our backhaul antennas (horizontal? circular?)
- Using 802.11a or other 5GHz options
- Using 802.11b, but adding amps and "blasting through"
- Using FHSS systems in 2.4GHz (such as breezenet pro.11 or raylink)
- WiMax (down the road?)

I would continue trying to push the limits of 11b (polarization, antenna gain, etc), but limit amp usage as much as possible (really doesn't help the industry as whole).

11a is an option, with MadWiFi or FreeBSD, though I'm concerned only one developer has true 'source' access. Would be very interested on your testing results ;)
