It is ran up the side of the tower and cable tied about every five feet or less. On the bottom end of the cable we have a PolyPhaser PLDO-20US20A to protect the equipment at the bottom from lightning strikes. I do not know exactly what guage/brand/type of wire, but it has "3125 07:08 ROHS" printed on it and then a number of feet and is able to be directly buried.
