Hi all my name is Richard Nepao. I am a student at the Papua New Guinea
University of Technology, studying Communication Engineering.

I have a project to be submitted for marking as part of our assesment this
year. The project is about wireless internet access for rural villages in
our country, Papua New Guinea ( a developing nation located north of
Australia.).

The project is more similar to the antenna based RF signalling via relays
etc discussed in our yahoogroup forum.

I am not too sure and do not know much about the IEEE 802.11b Wi-Fi Wireless
Card which is going to be used for the project. The card is interfaced with
a PC which propagates broad band radio signal (RF) to the roof antenna of
the building which the PC sits. This signal is reflected to a nearby
repeater by a antenna and then to a ISP server linked by a Telephone carrier
(Telikom PNG Ltd) for the country.

Please, could someone help me out on the above matter regarding the
Characteristics and physical features of the Wi-Fi Card and mainly on its
application. Similar type of information on this matter would also be
appreciated.

Thank you all for your co-operation

Regards,

Richard S. Nepao
