I am a networking amateur, but I need to set up a wireless "Hot Spot"
in my shop so I can demonstrate laptops which I have for sale and to
test repaired units.

I have DSL from Qwest, and am using their Actiontec R1524SU Gateway
router as my basic service, which works fine. However, I have not been
able to incorpoprate the DI-514 into that system, which calls for the
ethernet cable to be plugged into the master computer to configure the
Actiontec router. The DI-514 also needs a cable plugged into a computer
to configure it, so I next tried going to computer #2 and treating that
cable from the Actiontec router as the DSL input cable, but I cannot get
#2 to connect to anything except http://192.168.0.1/

Do I need to get a real DSL modem and start over with that?
