I went to a MS seminar on this in my area and this is what I gleaned
from the rep. (USA, might be diff. in other countries as Jon pointed
out)

1) You will get quarterly updates as long as you maintain the $299
subscription.
2) The software doesn't stop at the end of the subscription and you can
continue to use it.
3) My understanding was that you could get back into the program if you
dropped it for some reason

To me this is a mute point for $299/year subscription is a great deal...

Ok, I have been assimilated into the msCollective you will now refer to
me as 923432 of 384932292349 ;-)

Dan, Ben, Brad,

MS do the Action Pack here in the U.K also, and there was one 'gotcha'
that
may be relevant... The money you pay is a yearly subscription, isn't
it?
If MS decided to not continue the Action Pack at some future date, you
would
no longer be able to renew your subscription, and therefore would have
to
stop using all those products.

The US equivalent may be slightly different, but this was one potential
problem when I looked at it.

Just a warning...

Jon

I made the original post. It is a great program. The software package is
everything you could need except for source safe.

I apologize if it wasn't this list, but I recall a month or so back
someone
posted a link to the program offered by Microsoft for developers to get
all
of their software for development use, it was like $350/year or
something.
Does anybody recall the link or have the post. BTW, I searched the
EXCELLENT archive at witango.ws and was unsuccessful.
