My path will likely be to switch to MySQL unless 4D comes to the table. FMP
seems to have been a dead end since v4 didn't evolve into a multi-threaded
db, but rather the kludged FMP-server with many instances of FMP client.

I've been hoping all along that 4D would develop a native connection with
Tango, but Pervasive wasn't very cooperative on that one. 4D being the
logical heir to the FMP franchise.

(I'll try to install Primebase, but it looks expensive and arcane even to
install on OS X, so it looks like MySQL)

FMP may stay as an in-house interface, but I'd just as soon make it all web
and burn FMP. Why support two interfaces when you can do one?
