The exact, and I mean EXACT thing happened to me. The company I
consulted for paid for 3 consultants and 2 in-house ASP programmers
for about a year to convert a system that was generating over 180 web
sites. I am sure the company probably spent a minimum of $300,000.00.
I was baffled. The program as it was, was running perfectly. I think
what happened is they hired some people in their IT department who
decided to make the switch.

Go Figure.

The IT department wanted to burn their version (Witango 2000) at a
barbacue because they hated it so much. They looked and looked and
looked at it and kept calling me up for help. I ended up buying their
2000 corporate version.

The original guy who was there and hired me actually felt sad about
leaving Witango. He said these new "kids" the company hired right out
of school wanted nothing to do with it. It was all M$crosoft or
nothing.

>Here is an argument:
>Why spend valuable resources rewriting a perfectly good application
>(that already runs, and is paid for) into another langauge just so
>it's the same as other applications. Is there any integration
>between the asp apps and the witango app? if not, be sure to
>emphasize the point.
